Last week the whole Herodesk team met for three days at Skarrildhus in Jutland. We now have more than 300 paying customers and €50k in MRR, and for 2027 we're aiming for €100k MRR and profitability with the same team. We spent the meetup getting work done on sales calls, our development setup, and the customer journey, and the product kept shipping, with new phone integrations, a more powerful Custom widget, and a redesigned live chat.

Last Thursday was my third visit to Ehandelskonferencen (Denmark's major e-commerce conference), representing Herodesk. We still didn't have a booth, and honestly, we didn't need one. We got to get on stage and talk about customer service and talk with hundreds of people throughout the day. Perfect.

Great customer service is so much more than an AI replying fast. It starts before that and requires first-principles thinking to solve. Over the next two weeks, I'll be giving three very different talks about this to a 9th grade, Aarhus Business College and at Ehandelskonferencen.

Building Herodesk is a marathon (though it feels like we're running it at Kipchoge speed 🏃‍♂️‍➡️). And as anyone who's ever run a longer distance knows, you gotta pace yourself to make it all the way. Occasionally, though, you need a sprint.

September 4th marks Herodesk's 3rd birthday. I can't believe it's already been three years since starting this business. Today's newsletter looks back on another incredible year and looks forward to what's coming.
