We're hiring a Sales Executive

We're looking for a new Sales Executive to join our team at Herodesk!

 

I think most SaaS founders start with the same idea as I did: To build a business that has only a product team and a growth (marketing) team. 

That should be enough, right?

A team to build an awesome product, and a team to tell the world about it.

Then people (customers!) should see how great it is for themselves, get a free trial, onboard themselves, add their credit card to our system, and voilà - profit!

 

But at some point, reality hits...

 

We're at a great place with Herodesk right now.

We're on a solid path to become cash flow positive within the next month or two.

We acquire new paying customers every week, who are properly onboarded and start using our product.

Our churn is very low.

And about 35% of new sign-ups are referred to us from existing customers.

 

So why hire a Sales Executive now?

 

There are a few reasons why I believe it's the right thing for us to do. Most of it are things I've learned over the past months...

Many of our potential customers are typically not easily reachable with digital marketing. We need to get directly in touch with them.

In addition, they're not ready for self-onboarding. For them to become customers with us, they need to speak with a human for pre-sales (to be convinced that we're the right solution for them) and onboarding (to ensure they get a good start with us).

Second, we're in a very crowded "red ocean" with numerous competitors (both domestic and international) targeting the same audience. It's difficult and very expensive.

A great way to approach those two challenges is to get directly in touch with the potential customers.

I know with 100% certainty that our product delivers great value to our customers.

So to help us get in front of even more people and help sell our product, I've decided to look for a Sales Executive (SE).

 

Someone who's able to own the sales journey from A to Z.

 

We'll build the lead list together.

The SE will do cold outreach via LinkedIn, mail, phone - whatever.

Book sales meetings to present our solution.

Close the deal.

Hand it over to Customer Success for onboarding.
